Who I am

Defendio (Dutch Chamber of Commerce no. 93223811, Paxtonstraat 3 N, 8013 RP Zwolle, the Netherlands) is responsible for the data described here. Questions about privacy can go to melvin@defendio.eu.

What I process

When you email me, I receive your email address, your name if it's in the message, and what you write. I use that only to reply and, if you want one, to put together a proposal or quote. Email is handled by Google Workspace.

I keep email for as long as the conversation or the work needs it. If it turns into an engagement, the records that belong to the bookkeeping are kept for seven years, as Dutch tax law requires.

What this website does

• No analytics, no tracking and no ads.
• No third-party services: fonts and everything else are served from defendio.eu itself.
• One functional cookie, lang. It's only set when you use the NL/EN switch and remembers your language for a year. Cookies like this don't need consent.
• The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (S3 in Frankfurt, delivered through CloudFront). As with any website, the host processes your IP address to deliver the page. I don't keep visitor logs myself.

Your rights

You can ask which data I have about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Email melvin@defendio.eu for that. If you disagree with how I handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
